Usability Testing Environment

The Usability Testing Environment (UTE) is a software tool that assists usability testers in effectively and efficiently conducting usability tests of websites and web applications.

The Usability Testing Environment consists of two applications. The first is the UTE Manager which helps a tester set up task scenarios (test-items), and pre-test and post-test questions. The UTE Runner then automatically administers the test, and stores the test results. In addition, the UTE Runner tracks the actions of participants as they take the test, including clicks, keystrokes, and scrolling. Once the test is completed, the UTE Manager compiles, analyzes, and organizes the results from all participants, and produces a test report -- complete with text, statistics and graphics.

The Usability Testing Environment revolutionizes web-based usability testing. This testing tool substantially reduces the time required to conduct usability tests, and improves the quality of test results.
